Grief & Loss

Grief isn't limited to death. Loss can change your life in obvious or unexpected ways—from losing someone you love to losing a relationship, your health, a beloved pet, or the future you thought you would have. At Quincy Therapy, we provide a supportive space to process grief, make sense of what has changed, and find a way forward without rushing the healing process.

Death & Bereavement

The death of someone we love can leave us feeling heartbroken, overwhelmed, and unsure how to move forward. Grief may bring sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, or loneliness, and there is no “right” way or timeline for grieving. Quincy Therapy can help you process your loss, honor your relationship with the person who died, and navigate life after loss at your own pace.

Pet Loss

Losing a beloved pet can feel like losing a member of your family. You may be experiencing sadness, guilt, loneliness, or even questioning whether you should still be grieving. Quincy Therapy can help you process your grief, work through difficult emotions, and find ways to honor your relationship while learning to move forward without forgetting the love you shared.

Health-Related Grief

Sometimes you are grieving a life you didn't expect to lose. A diagnosis, chronic health condition, fertility challenges, or changes in your body can bring grief for your sense of safety, independence, identity, or the future you imagined. Quincy Therapy can help you process the emotional impact of health changes, cope with uncertainty, reconnect with your identity beyond your health, and move forward while making space for what has been lost.

Relationship Grief

Sometimes the person is still alive, but you're still grieving. Breakups, divorce, friendship loss, family estrangement, or relationships that never became what you hoped can leave behind a deep sense of loss. Quincy Therapy can help you process complicated emotions like sadness, anger, guilt, relief, and longing; rebuild your sense of self; and move forward without minimizing the relationship or what it meant to you.
